Sabaya Bellydance is a cooperative dance group based in Rockhampton in Central Queensland, Australia.

The group has been teaching and performing since 1995, with hundreds of women participating in classes and public activities hosted by the group over the years.

We dance in a variety of Middle Eastern styles from the traditional to the modern. Our teachers travel to attend workshops with national and international standard teachers so we can bring the best back to our students.

****What's New***

Sabaya now offers bellydance classes for children. Our Sweetcakes ("Sabaya" is the name of a Yemeni honey cake) have a great time learning to dance at regular weekly classes. They charmed everyone when they performed at our 2006 Christmas party.

Bellydance Retreat

At Last - the return of the retreat!!

We are confident that we will at last be able to host another weekend retreat for bellydancers in the Central Queensland region. This liv- in weekend is a terrific opportunity to meet with other bellydancers in our region, to do some dancing and to have a whole heap of fun.

We have a tentative booking for the Queen's Birthday weeken and will be sending information and registration forms to all our contacts as soon as we have confirmation that the venue will be available on this weekend.
